As the community of Holy Spirit School, our spiritual goal this year is “Learning and Living the Corporal Works of Mercy”.  Each month our school will focus on one Corporal Work of Mercy.  Our November goal is to feed the hungry.

In order to fulfill this goal we will hold a Tag Day on Wednesday, Nov. 23rd.  Each student that wishes to participate in the tag day will bring $1.  The money raised will be used to purchase cup-a-soup packages which will be decorated with messages of encouragement by the students and given to The Homeless Bus, Inc. for distribution.

The Homeless Bus, Inc. is a local organization that distributes food each Saturday night to 400 homeless people living in New York City.  This Pequannock based organization has been helping feed the hungry since 1992.  If you would like to find out more about this organization you can find them on facebook at homelessbusnyc.

Thank you for partnering with us as we help to meet our spiritual goal of feeding the hungry.  It is our hope that through these works of mercy we can help students recognize their many blessings and that we can find ways to encourage our children reach out to others in Christian love.  Thanksgiving blessings to you and your family.

God bless you for your kindness to those less fortunate.
