Ready for display

Our “Chocolate Lab” dog sculpture has left the building and will be out on display on Main Street, Boonton beginning Friday, June 5. The official opening of this art installation is Friday, June 5th from 5:30 to 9:30pm. Over 100 public dog sculptures by professional artists and local students will be exhibited. Dog Days of summer is a public art project that showcases artist’s custom designs on life sized fiberglass dog sculptures. These dogs will be displayed along Boonton’s Main Street. Student designs will adorn the windows of Boonton businesses. At the end of the summer the dogs are auctioned and a portion the funds collected will be donated to Montville Animal Shelter.

Our dog will not be auctioned thanks to the support of Sister Marie! At the end of the summer our Chocolate Lab will reside at Holy Spirit School!

Please join me on Main Street Boonton on Friday, June 5th. I will be in the vicinity of Speakeasy Art Gallery looking for everyone. Please call or text me so we can meet – Susan Sopira -973-703-9832. Our dog will be housed at Heavenly Temptations on Main Street across from Roma Pizza. Hope to see you there!
