As parents, it is scary to hear about the recent outbreak of measles in Disneyland and the one confirmed case of measles in NJ. A highly contagious and most serious illness, we are fortunate that a vaccine was developed in the mid sixties to all but eliminate this disease.

Measles vaccines are required for children who attend preschool and kindergarten in all NJ public and private schools. Holy Spirit has complied with local and state regulations; the required, January annual immunization status report has already been submitted to the local and state health departments.

Parents of fifth grade students: look for a letter and information concerning boosters and vaccines that will brought home by your child today or tomorrow. These important immunizations are designed to keep your children safe through their preteen and teenage years.

Thank You,
